transpixel Rachel poses at the beginning of our 14-mile backcountry hike in the Kolob canyon region. Our packs got heavier and heavier as we marched in the 100-degree heat at noon with inadequete water. Note to self: never hike at noon in the desert, and make sure the rivers are actually flowing. We had to hike four miles before hitting water. transpixel
