Wouldn’t Sammy, this adorable 1 year old, possibly beagle/rat terrier mix, make the perfect dog for Carol and Dave?

  1. Comment from DAD on 4 Jun. 2006, 2:05 pm :

Kit & Kat occupy the house, our hearts, a lot of car space, & sufficient time for care. But I think he may be cute behind that bar.

  2. Comment from Glen on 4 Jun. 2006, 3:14 pm :

You house has plenty of room, you like dogs, your car has an unused backseat, and you are retired. And that dog is cute.

  3. Comment from Katie on 4 Jun. 2006, 3:19 pm :

Well, Mom is either going to get rid of Dobby or get him a playmate. Maybe you can convince her.

  4. Comment from Glen on 4 Jun. 2006, 8:51 pm :

Oh no! Poor Dobby! :( (Comment by Rachel, in case it says Glen)

  5. Comment from Angela on 6 Jun. 2006, 1:01 pm :

Dobby needs a sock! or some other humanly knitted thing/playmate/beagle/rat terrier mix!

  6. Comment from Amber Wilson on 18 Jun. 2007, 12:49 pm :

I have a raggle too they are so nice

  7. Comment from Chris on 3 Jul. 2007, 3:35 pm :

I had a raggle, but she passed away recently. I miss her SO badly! I am looking to get another one. If this dog is still available, let me know! It is hard to find raggles.

Named After His Great-Grandmother

Posted by Rachel in on 11 May. 2006, 10:44 am

Presenting (a little late) my very first nephew - Jonathan Alexander! And, that’s right, you read that right, he’s named after his great grandmother, Johnnie. (Mama John, for those of you who only know her as that). I can only put one picture in, as I am blog challenged. Glen’s going to help me do more later. Here you go, your cuteness fix:

  2. Comment from DAD on 11 May. 2006, 7:00 pm :

    Yes, he is cute!

  3. Comment from DAD on 11 May. 2006, 7:01 pm :

Who are the two strangers in the latest dog phone photo?

  4. Comment from Glen on 12 May. 2006, 7:24 pm :

Nothing to worry about, just some visiting dogs.

  5. Comment from Tammy on 15 May. 2006, 6:50 am :

    He is SO cute! Awwww.

I recognize those dogs! It’s Chip from the dog park, and his sister! In your house! I cannot imagine the insanity.

  6. Comment from Angela on 16 May. 2006, 8:41 pm :

hey, is his cuteness making you want to have dimock-y babies? yeah! what a great idea!

  7. Comment from Glen on 17 May. 2006, 5:20 pm :

Hmm. You’ve clearly forgotten our 4-step program. We are still on Step 3.

  8. Comment from Katie on 18 May. 2006, 4:29 am :

The way I remember it, it was Step 1 - Get some cats. Step 2 - Get a house and get married. Step 3 - Get a dog. Step 4 - Have babies. You’re clearly to step four. Quit stalling! You know my wonderful sister wants babies as much as her nutty sisters!

  9. Comment from Glen on 18 May. 2006, 5:05 pm :

You remembered incorrectly, as did I. We are on Step 2: http://www.aerogeek.org/blog/2005/03/08/mo-c-u/

  10. Comment from Katie on 20 May. 2006, 6:47 pm :

I’d assume from the moblog that you are in Vegas? I love how I am kept informed on the sister and brother-in-law’s lives. To keep you informed on mine, I was in a car accident and am suffering from a mild concussion. Good times for all!

  11. Comment from Glen on 22 May. 2006, 5:41 pm :

You were in a car accident?

  12. Comment from Katie on 22 May. 2006, 7:15 pm :

Yep, talk to your little woman about that.

That’s your dog, not your nephew. Try again.

  2. Comment from DAD on 8 May. 2006, 5:24 pm :

    But he’s cute too.

  3. Comment from Katie on 9 May. 2006, 3:58 am :

I’m really starting to wonder about your priorities.

How we spent our extra hour

Posted by Rachel in on 30 Oct. 2005, 2:58 pm

Today, Glen and I spent about 3 hours raking up leaves (note Indiana in the latest phone post), and we filled up 5 yard waste bags with them. The thing is though, all of our trees look like they still posess all of their leaves - with 3 trees that haven’t even turned yet! I think we’re going to be raking leaves until they’re covered with snow. Ahhhh, the joys of homeownership!

Leave my sister alone!

A cat story, by popular demand (although, Indy is featured in it too). This evening, Indy was in his super-hyper evening mode as usual. Lili walked onto a chair, trying to sneak to her food, but was spotted by Indiana. He came forward, she hissed. He took this as an invitation to play, he came forward some more. Out of nowhere, Otto puffs up, hisses, and advances on Indy. Before you know it, Otto is chasing Indy into the living room and a yelp is heard. Otto continues chasing Indy until Glen and Rachel are up and about observing and subtly separating the animals. It was quite the sight - I’ve never ever seen a cat be protective of another cat before.

  1. Comment from Katie on 12 Aug. 2005, 4:06 pm :

That is a great story! Too bad you didn’t have a video camera so you could send it to America’s Funniest Animals.

  2. Comment from MIL on 14 Aug. 2005, 9:07 am :

Thank you! I feel better now that I know the cats are getting some kind of attention, even if it is negative!

  3. Comment from Rachel on 14 Aug. 2005, 10:36 am :

The cats are getting plenty of attention - not all of it negative dog attention. We’re making a special effort to make sure they don’t feel neglected.
