2004: Bush reelected
Last night: Smoking ban repealed in Champaign
Tonight: Melinda voted off of American Idol

I was forced by the wife to watch this show all season, resulting in an addiction so strong that I watched it voluntarily this week while she was in Denmark. Not good, I know. It was an especially bad scene on the couch tonight when Melinda was kicked off. If this is truly a singing contest, there is no justice in the world. Completely unacceptable.

    see it sucks you on in some horrible way. even if you dont want to watch it your stuck in the middle of things. in the start of the show you watch but dont watch to see who sucks and how they make fools out of themselves and how the bad people get selected to go through. then after all this ya have to watch more to see how long the make it. and then it becomes you sitting infront of your tv yelling at it because the people who are horrible are still going on and your favorite got sent home packing. and that is the way it goes and how American Idol ruins you.

    Poor man. next year put the tv in the closet until the show is over. :)

    See, I was upset that Melinda went home, but it’s not outrage worthy. At least Blake and Jordin are both good and Sanjaya isn’t in the top two. Now that would have been a travesty.

    And how come Rachel can get you sucked in to Idol but not Passions? I hear she wants to get Direct TV just so she can keep watching Passions. I didn’t even know it was going to continue on DTV… have I been waiting for them to tie up the storylines for nothing?? Will Teresa ever really be with Ethan???

    American Idol is dead to me. Also, Rachel researched Direct TV but could not convince me that it is comparable in price to cable. So no Passions.
