Meet Annie, the newest member of our pack! She originates from Indy’s neck of the woods and appears to share some of his Beagle heritage. As the soon-to-be barrage of photos will show, she is larger than Indy but 100% submissive. The shelter claims that she is six months old and will be around 40 lbs. when full-grown. The cats are taking it as well as can be expected.

In non-dog news, we saw Andrew Bird in concert last night. It was surprisingly fantastic, with some virtuoso loop pedaling and violining. If you have the opportunity to see him, I highly recommend it.

You got another DOG???? :-O I am shocked! But she is v. v. cute!
Comment from Maggie on 5 Feb. 2006, 12:15 am :
Oh my god. She’s adorable. Y’all have quite the, um, menagerie up there in the cornfields.
Comment from Glen on 5 Feb. 2006, 7:58 am :
Well, there is plenty of room for the menagerie to run around up here in the cornfields!
Comment from Auntie Joy on 7 Feb. 2006, 7:28 am :
Annie is so cute. We don’t have a dog park at the lake but Max thinks all animals visiting from Champagne should camp out at the BALLPARK.
Comment from Em on 8 Feb. 2006, 12:31 pm :
Oh my goodness, what a pretty pair of puppies! I can’t wait to meet them all.
Comment from Tammy on 8 Feb. 2006, 3:38 pm :
I am so excited to see that Indiana has finally taken a bride. She is very, very cute. I will call them Mr. and Mrs. Jones.
Comment from Katie on 10 Feb. 2006, 2:08 pm :
So, now that you have a new dog, you can bring Indy back to MD and leave him here with his loving Autie K… yes, that would be swell.
Comment from Em on 14 Feb. 2006, 1:30 pm :
The puppies look so perfectly content together. Yea for animal happiness!!! Love to the kitties.

A coworker in marketing seems to think you should sell stock photography. He captioned the second picture: “Have no idea what your clients are trying to tell you?” It could work…
Comment from DAD on 26 Feb. 2006, 10:39 am :
Is the acquarium picture a suggestion of future cat food?
Comment from Glen on 26 Feb. 2006, 10:48 am :
Maybe for our friends’ cats (it’s out friends’ aquarium). They’re expensive saltwater fish, though.

Is plumbing your new weekend job? Murphy lives for plumbing.
Comment from Glen on 27 Feb. 2006, 7:08 pm :
What I thought would be an hour-long job became a weekend job, yes. There was even grinding involved. Who is Murphy?
Comment from DAD on 28 Feb. 2006, 7:06 am :
I thought Murphy was known throughout Engineering. Murphy’s Law–”If something can go wrong, it will.” There are corollaries, but they just broaden the concept. No “simple plumbing job” is.
Comment from Maggie on 2 Mar. 2006, 5:47 pm :
Dear Glen -
Now that you are a master of plumbing, does that mean you can help me install my new dream bathtub in my eventual house? 8-P
Comment from Glen on 2 Mar. 2006, 6:25 pm :
I think I damaged a shutoff valve during the installation process, so only hire me if you have a lot of extra buckets.
Comment from Em on 14 Mar. 2006, 5:44 pm :
Can we get a new post here, people?!
Comment from Angela on 16 Mar. 2006, 9:24 pm :
SERIOUSLY!
Comment from Glen on 17 Mar. 2006, 5:54 pm :
I’m working on it. Actually, I’ve been working on nothing but work for the past three weeks, hence the lack of updates. How about if we let this comment area serve as a proxy blog for now. You can comment on what you think I’ve been doing.
Comment from Em on 21 Mar. 2006, 8:58 am :
I think you’ve been doing everyone’s mom.
