10 points to best caption. My car, of course, is the one in the middle. Fortunately, it is secure in its manhood.

Note to self: Home ownership = Time + Money. We’ve spent the last three weeks in an orgy of home improvement (and unimprovement) projects, supported by approximately 467 trips to the Home Depot. We have undone most of the damage inflicted by previous owners, including smoke detector hung from thumb tack, moulding installed with giant stud nails, and precarious cinder-block step into house. And whereas Dave Barry would jokingly describe these items as having been installed by vandals, that appears to be a real possibility in this case. Neighborhood gossip has it that, several owners ago, a messy divorce resulted in the husband breaking in and defacing the house. What a perfect explanation for the miswired switches and backward closet doors!
We really do like the house (and more so the location), so enough complaining. The parents are in town this week, being enormously helpful and probably acquiring back injuries. I am also pleased to report that I rented a jackhammer yesterday, which I highly recommend over the alternative (weeks of pick-axing). Concrete removal has never been so fun.
And to all the skeptics: My reel mower works very well, even in 85 degree heat.
if you need me to get you a lawn mower at SEARS i will haha. That little pushy thing a ma bob isnt gonna cut it. no pun intended haha.
Sounds like ya got a real project ahead of ya with this house. thumb tacks for mountings huh? real winners owned this house before you I take it?
Real men rent vibrators to tamp down gravel.
Real men do it the hard way.

To quote Sesame Street: One of these things is not like the other, two of these things are kinda the same….
