Fun stuff!

I ordered a sample box from www.blissweddings.com and it arrived today! Amongst the goodies were glassine envelopes, translucent envelopes, little tins, various labels, an organza bag, a burlap bag (???), a mini chinese food take-out box, and two bridal shower game cards (one scratch off, one bingo). I then headed out to Schnucks and bought a big bag o’ m & m’s and proceeded to fill up each little favor holder with m & m’s. I think I had way too much fun doing this. The cats were very interested, as they always are when boxes are opened and things are moved around.
In other fun news, my veil should be arriving any day now. When it does, I’ll be sure to get a picture sporting all of my bridal accessories to date - my veil, my reception shoes, and my necklace.

Will the m&ms be awaiting October? They could be interesting by then.
Comment from Glen on 5 Feb. 2003, 8:25 pm :
Um, I think we’ll probably buy fresh M&Ms, budget permitting.

What is all that stuff for that they sent you?
You are SO far ahead of me in the planning. Veil, what veil? Favors? Ummmmmmmmmm.
I am impressed with your organizational skills!

Most of the stuff they sent is for packaging favors. The cheapest ways - glassine envelopes - to the most expensive ways - aluminum tins with glass lids. The burlap bag is a mystery to me still though…
I don’t know if I’m organized, but since I can’t be on location planning, at least I can be ordering up a storm on the internet. (The sample box was not free… $13 plus shipping). It’s a great way to procrastinate real work…

Oh, and I forgot to mention the mini jelly jars…

I would just like to know what *kind* of m &m’s you’ll be serving up… I vote for plain or peanut butter, but not peanut.
Actually, I vote for reeses peices. Can that be an option?
Comment from Rachel on 6 Feb. 2003, 9:10 am :
I’m thinking plain m&m’s, yellow and white.

So you actually got a veil? From whence doth it come?
Comment from Angela on 6 Feb. 2003, 12:54 pm :
Do you think the burlap sacks are for more “earthy” gifts like vegetable or flower seeds or a small plant?
Comment from Rachel on 6 Feb. 2003, 1:02 pm :
Em - www.veilshop.com
Angela - You may be onto something there…

Or it could be for two pears as Martha suggests in the link above, and labeled “A Perfect Pair.” Get it, a perfect pair?
Comment from Glen on 6 Feb. 2003, 2:44 pm :
If I have any say here (and I do not), the name Martha Stewart will never again me mentioned in the context of our wedding.
Comment from Em on 6 Feb. 2003, 3:41 pm :
Oooh, nice veils!
